The design on this mug is achieved using the wax-resist glazing technique. The pattern is applied in wax by hand. Then the mug is dipped in glaze and the design reveals itself when the wax is melted during firing.

Each wax-resist mug is dipped by hand. After that we let gravity do its thing. There may be slight variations in color, texture and finish to each perfectly imperfect item.
