The same way a hummingbird pauses to drink a flower’s nectar and enjoy its sweetness is the same way that people should aim to live their lives. Spotting a hummingbird is considered a good omen, whether in real life or in your dreams. Often, hummingbirds are seen as messengers, spirits of loved ones coming to visit, or angels bringing good news from Heaven. This ‘Golden Hour Jewel’ was painted for a very special family that lost their father not a long time ago. I wanted to feel calm and relaxed while creating this piece to bring as much joy and healing to the artwork as possible.
